Overtime Rates and Restrictions. Section 1. The normal bi-weekly pay period shall consist of 84 hours. The normal work schedule will consist of seven 12-hour shifts, however, this is not to be construed as a guaranteed bi-weekly pay period but merely a definition of a pay period. There may be special assignments that require the employee to work up to ten (10) days and/or eighty-four (84) hours per pay period, as needed. Section 2. (a) All hours worked over a twelve (12) hour shift will be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1½).
