Paid Time for Union Stewards. Union Stewards may present grievances to management and represent employees in grievance or disciplinary meetings during work hours, on paid time, provided these meetings do not interfere with the normal operations of the Medical Center. A reasonable amount of work time (straight time rate of pay), not to exceed thirty (30) minutes unless otherwise agreed to by the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ supervisor, may be spent by Union Stewards to investigate grievances. Additionally, Union Stewards will receive paid time when requested by management to attend a meeting, whether during the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ working hours or scheduled time off, if called back into work. Stewards agree to obtain advance supervisory approval of any required absence from the workplace to attend to the obligations described herein. The Union shall notify the Medical Center, in writing, of the names of all union stewards when changes occur.
