Unit members may elect to be paid over eleven (11) months, or eleven (11) months with supplemental arrears. 12.3 Effective June 30, 2023, all regular paychecks of unit members shall be issued monthly on the last day of the month. 12.4 Whenever it is determined that an error has been made in the calculation or reporting of any unit member payroll or in the reporting of any unit member's salary which results in an underpayment to the unit member, the District shall, within five (5) workdays following such determination, provide the unit member with a statement of the correction and then process a supplemental payment. 12.5 Whenever it is determined that an error has been made in the calculation or reporting of any unit member's salary that results in an overpayment, before any attempt at recouping any overpayment, the District shall provide written notice of the overpayment and the date of the pending negotiations meeting. The District shall then meet with the affected unit member, their representative if they choose, and provide any and all relevant information to the unit member that supports the Districts determination that an overpayment has occurred. 12.6 If the unit member agrees that an overpayment has occurred, the District and the unit member may agree to a repayment plan, which shall be a written agreement and signed by both parties. If the unit member does not agree that an overpayment has been made, and/or the parties cannot mutually agree to a repayment plan, the District shall be required to follow the applicable State and Federal laws regarding wage garnishment. 12.7 The hourly rate of pay for each classification in the unit shall be in accordance with Appendix A which is attached and incorporated as a part of this Agreement. 12.8 All full time twelve (12) month unit members’ regular rate of pay shall include any shift differential and/or longevity required to be paid under this Agreement. 12.9 The District shall offer to meet and negotiate with CSEA prior to establishing a new classified bargaining unit job description and salary range placement.

PAY AND ALLOWANCES. 12.1 10.1 For the 2019/20 negotiations the Parties agree to:
A. In 2018/19, all employees who will not receive the Classified School Employee Summer Assistance Program in 2019/20 will receive a one time stipend worth 2% of their yearly regular salary.
B. In 2019/20, all employees who will not receive the Classified School Employee Summer Assistance Program in 2019/20 will receive a one time stipend worth 2% of their yearly regular salary.
C. All of the cells of the 2020/21 salary schedule not affected by the minimum wage increase in 2021 will be increased 3.6%. The 2020/21 salary schedule will be open for negotiations in the 2020/21 school year.

12.4 3. All employees in the bargaining unit shall receive their regular paychecks in the month in which they are scheduled to work. Enrollment in the deferred net pay plan is optional. The plan will be offered to all employees on an elective basis for their contracted salary. The employee’s election to participate in the plan is irrevocable for the entire school year. The District must be notified in writing by the unit member prior to July 10th for the subsequent year. For example, for the 2008/09 school year, the District must be notified in writing prior to July 10th, 2008. The deferred amount would be paid out to the employee during the July 31, 2009 payroll cycle. If an employee leaves the District or changes jobs within the District, resulting in an overpayment of salary, contract provisions for re-payment will be followed.
4. Whenever it is determined that an error has been made in the calculation or reporting of in any unit member classified employee payroll or in the reporting payment of any unit member's salary which results in an underpayment to the unit memberclassified employee’s salary, the District shall, within five (5) workdays following such determination, provide the unit member employee with a statement of the correction and then process a supplemental paymentpayment drawn against any available funds.
12.5 Whenever it is determined that an error has been made 5. Any employee in the calculation or reporting of any bargaining unit member's salary that results in an overpayment, before any attempt authorized to use his/her vehicle on District business shall be reimbursed at recouping any overpayment, the District shall provide written notice approved rate per mile for all authorized miles driven on behalf of the overpayment District.
6. Any employee in the bargaining unit who is authorized to be lodged away from home overnight shall be reimbursed by the District for the full cost of such lodging and meals at the date of the pending negotiations meetingDistrict approved rate.
7. The District shall then meet with the affected unit member, their representative if they choose, and provide any and all relevant information agrees to the unit member that supports the Districts determination that an overpayment has occurred.

PAY AND ALLOWANCES. 12.1 Pay A. Effective July 1, 2021, the salary schedules for 12 month all unit members shall be computed increased by 1%. The District will place an additional 1% increase on all salary schedules effective January 1, 2022. For the following basis: Hours worked per day x hourly rate of 2021 – 2022 school year the District will pay x number of days per year worked (including holidays) divided by 12 months = “12 month pay.”
12.2 Pay for less than 12a one-month time off schedule stipend to all unit members of $1,275, prorated by FTE (except for Paraprofessionals who work 6 hours; these members shall receive the entire $1,275). This off-schedule payment shall be computed on paid within forty-five (45) days of the following basis: Hours worked per day x hourly ratification of this Agreement by each party.
B. For the duration of this contract, the District agrees to provide an overall percentage rate of pay x number of days per year worked (plus holidays and winter and spring recess vacation days) divided by increase equal to the number of months worked. 12.4 Whenever it is determined that E. This amount shall be payable on a supplemental paymentseparate warrant drawn against District funds after approval by the Governing Board. Employees shall not be required to use their personal vehicles to transport students.
12.5 Whenever it is determined that an error has been made in the calculation or reporting of any H. Any bargaining unit member's salary that results in an overpayment, before any attempt at recouping any overpaymentwho, as a result of a work assignment, must have meals away from the District, shall be reimbursed for the full cost of the meal upon submission of the claim.
I. Any bargaining unit member, who, as a result of a work assignment, must be lodged away from home overnight, shall be reimbursed by the District for the full cost of such lodging. Where possible, the District shall provide written notice of the overpayment and the date of the pending negotiations meeting. The District shall then meet with the affected unit member, their representative if they choose, and provide any and all relevant information advance funds to the unit member that supports the Districts determination that an overpayment has occurred.
12.6 If the unit member agrees that an overpayment has occurred, the District and the unit member may agree to a repayment plan, which shall be a written agreement and signed by both partiesemployee for such lodging. If advanced funds are not available or do not cover the unit member does not agree that an overpayment has been made, and/or the parties cannot mutually agree to a repayment planfull cost of required lodging, the District shall be required to follow reimburse the applicable State and Federal laws regarding wage garnishmentemployee for out-of-pocket lodging expenses as soon as possible.
12.7 J. 12.8 All full time twelve 1. Employees who have completed eight (128) years of continuous service shall be granted a 3% longevity increment.
2. Employees who have completed fifteen (15) month unit members’ years of continuous service shall be granted an additional 3% longevity increment.
3. Employees who have completed twenty (20) years of continuous service shall be granted an additional 3% longevity increment.
4. Employees who have completed twenty-five (25) years of continuous service shall be granted an additional 3% longevity increment.
5. Employees who have completed thirty (30) years of continuous service shall be granted an additional 3% longevity increment.
K. A shift differential of 9% above the regular rate of pay shall include be paid when the employee’s regular work shift begins before 7:00 a.m. or ends after 5:00 p.m. Pay shall be as follows:
1. For the entire shift if the shift begins before 6:00 a.m. or ends after 6:00 p.m.
2. For any hour worked between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. or between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. An employee who ordinarily receives a shift differential and/or longevity premium shall not have a reduction in pay when assigned to a day shift for the employer’s convenience or during school recesses.
L. Unit members shall not be required to perform duties which are not fixed and prescribed for the position by the Governing Board in accordance with Section 45109, unless the duties reasonably relate to those fixed for the position by the Board, for any period of time which exceeds a 15 calendar day period except as authorized herein. An employee may be required to perform duties inconsistent with those assigned to the position by the Governing Board for a period of more than five (5) working days provided that his/her salary is adjusted upward for the entire period he/she is required to work out of classification and in such amounts as will reasonably reflect the duties required to be paid under performed outside his/her normal assigned duties. Notwithstanding any provisions of this Agreementsection the Governing Board may, by written rule, provide for an upward salary adjustment for any classified employee required to work out-of-classification for any period of time less than that required herein.
12.9 The District M. Classification and reclassification shall offer to meet and negotiate proceed in accord with CSEA prior to establishing a new classified the process described in Appendix G. All bargaining unit job description and salary range placementmembers shall have the right to avail themselves of the reclass procedures outlined in Appendix G.
N. Paid Time for In-Service
O. CSEA shall establish a paraprofessional training committee for the purpose of designing a training program for paraprofessionals for one staff development day annually. The committee shall make recommendations on training needs to the District by April 15th of each fiscal year for implementation for the next fiscal year.
