Common use of Payment for Working on a Holiday Clause in Contracts

Payment for Working on a Holiday. Except for employees working less than one-quarter (1/4) full time on a regular basis, employees required to work on a General Holiday shall be paid time and one-half (1-1/2) the regular rate of pay and shall receive another day off in lieu of the holiday. Christmas Day and New Year's Day being the exception, would be paid at double the regular rate of pay and employees shall receive another day off in lieu of the holiday.
