Peg Channels. In addition to the other services proposed by Applicants, the City shall place significant emphasis on the provision of PEG channels, facilities and related considerations. Such areas include but are not limited to the following: channel(s) for government usage, educational usage (public and nonprofit schools, colleges and universities), public access, and local origination. Applicants are strongly encouraged to investigate the needs and desires of potential Users and to offer such community services as are technologically and economically feasible. Both internal institutional communications and connection to Subscribers is encouraged where appropriate. In this regard, Applicants should also consider and respond to the request for proposals in the area relating to institutional networks.

Applicants for a franchise are strongly encouraged to investigate the needs and desires of potential Users and to offer such community services as are technologically and economically feasible. Both internal institutional communications and connection to Subscribers is encouraged where appropriate.
2. The Franchisee shall not take any actions that would discourage or prevent maximum utilization of all PEG channels provided, and shall cooperate with the City and managers of PEG channels to ensure that Subscribers are aware of the channels, can access them easily, and, to the extent that a Franchisee (or some entity acting on a Franchisee’s behalf) is involved in publicizing Franchisee’s other channels or channel schedules, that the PEG channels and channel schedules are similarly publicized.
Peg Channels. Franchisee shall furnish channels and funding for Public, Educational, and Government Access programming, as set forth in this Section 5.1, in order to ensure universal availability of Public, Educational, and Government Access programming in the City.
Peg Channels. (A) As of the effective date of this Franchise, the Grantee is providing (one (1) PEG channel to the City.
Peg Channels. The Franchisee will transmit PEG Programming as provided by the LFAs and the public, as directed. Subject to the requirements set forth in Section 5.2 of the Agreement, the following Public Access Channel, Government Access Channel and Educational Access Channel PEG Access Interconnection Site (“PEG Access Interconnection Site”) shall be operable within one hundred twenty (120) days of the Effective Date: The PEG Access Interconnection Site shall serve as the aggregation point for the PEG Content Origination Points designated below (“PEG Content Origination Points”) feeding signals to the public, government and educational access channels. For purposes of permitting the LFAs to select and switch feeds into an aggregation point, Franchisee shall provide the LFAs, without charge, such capability at such aggregation point. Operation and maintenance of any equipment associated therewith shall be the responsibility of the LFAs. At the PEG Access Interconnection Site, the LFAs will provide Franchisee, without restriction, with suitable video signals from any and all additional PEG content origination points which may be provided or maintained by any other cable service provider within the Service Area. Peg Channels. In order to ensure universal availability of public, educational, and governmental programming, within three (3) years of the Effective Date, [Franchisee] shall make available to the City or its designee one (1) dedicated public, educational, and governmental access (“PEG”) channel. A PEG Access Channel may not be used to cablecast for-profit, political or commercial fundraising programs in any fashion.
Peg Channels. PEG Channels are and shall be allocated by the ------------ Municipality.
6.3.1 Municipality may at any time on six (6) months notice to Company allocate or reallocate the usage of the PEG channels among and between different uses and Users. This expressly may include Municipality requiring several different persons to share or jointly use a given PEG channel or conversely allowing one or more persons currently sharing such a channel to have a channel on which they are the sole User.
6.3.2 The initial allocation of PEG channels amongst and between various uses and Users shall be established by Municipality within six (6) months of the Effective Date.
6.3.3 Municipality may from time to time adopt and revise rules and procedures as to when and how Company may use the PEG Channels for the provision of video programming if the PEG Channels are not being used for their respective purposes. Company shall use the PEG Channels solely in accordance with such rules and procedures and except for PEG Channels being used by Company, shall have no responsibility or control with respect to the programming of such channels.

Peg Channels. Franchisee shall continue to carry the Harford County PEG Access Channel on the Basic Service tier of the Cable System serving the Franchise Area for viewing by Fios-TV Subscribers in the LFA. Provided that all other Cable Service providers in the Franchise Area are required to do the same, Franchisee shall provide on the Basic Service Tier one (1) reserved access channel which may be activated in accordance with Section 6.2 below (“Reserved PEG Channel”) which shall be individually designated by the LFA as a Public, Educational or Government Access Channel.
