The "PIN Number" clause defines the requirement for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to be used as a security measure for accessing certain services or accounts. Typically, this clause outlines how the PIN is to be created, maintained, and used by the account holder, and may specify responsibilities such as keeping the PIN confidential and notifying the provider in case of unauthorized use. Its core practical function is to enhance security by ensuring that only authorized individuals can access sensitive information or perform transactions, thereby reducing the risk of fraud or unauthorized access.
PIN Number. The Transfer Agent shall issue to each Authorized Person a unique personal identification number (“PIN Number”) by which such Authorized Person shall be identified and instructions issued by the Authorized Participant hereunder shall be authenticated. The PIN Number shall be kept confidential and only provided to Authorized Persons and other employees of the Authorized Participant who have a reasonable need-to-know, unless required under applicable law. If after issuance, an Authorized Person’s PIN Number is changed, the new PIN Number will become effective on a date mutually agreed upon by the Authorized Participant and the Transfer Agent. Upon the termination or revocation of authority of such Authorized Person by the Authorized Participant, the Authorized Participant shall give prompt written notice of such fact to the Distributor, Transfer Agent and the Trust and such notice shall be effective upon receipt by the Distributor, Transfer Agent and the Trust. The Transfer Agent agrees promptly to cancel the PIN Number assigned to an Authorized Person upon receipt of written notice from the Authorized Participant that an Authorized Person’s authority to act for it has been terminated.
PIN Number. Each Authorized Representative of Customer will be assigned a Personal Identification Number (“PIN”). The PIN identifies the Authorized Representative who must provide the PIN in order to initiate a Request, approve a Request, or attempt to cancel a Request. To change the PIN, Customer must provide a written or electronic request to Bank from an individual authorized, to the satisfaction of Bank, to act on behalf of Customer
PIN Number. 16.1 When you activate your Card, a PIN will be automatically allocated to your Card. Any additional or replacement Card will have its own PIN allocated. You will be advised of the PIN for your Card (and for any additional or replacement Card) by post to the address stated in the Disclosure Statement for your Finance Now Card Facility.
16.2 You must take special care to protect your PIN. You must:
(a) Destroy our advice to you of your PIN straight away;
(b) Not write the PIN on your Card even if the PIN is disguised;
(c) Not keep a record of your PIN (including electronically);
(d) Not tell anyone your PIN including friends, family, our staff, the Police or a merchant;
(e) Make sure that no one watches you enter your PIN at an EFTPOS Terminal or ATM; and
(f) If you select your own PIN, not create a PIN that can be easily found out (eg sequential or related numbers) or uses your personal information (eg your date of birth).
PIN Number. You can nominate up to 6 digits. You can nominate a PIN for each Tag or the same PIN for a group of Tags. It is highly recommended that you change your PINS from time to time.
PIN Number. You understand that your card may be used to obtain a cash advance on your Mastercard account at any ATM (Automated Teller Machine) that bears the Mastercard symbol. By using the card in the ATM or any PIN activated sales terminal, you acknowledge that the PIN (Personal Identification Number), which is assigned to you, when used with your card is your signature, identifies the bearer of the card to Mastercard and authenticates and validates the directions given just as your actual signature. You further acknowledge that you PIN is a security method by which the credit union helps to maintain the security of your account. Therefore, you agree to take all reasonable precautions that no one learns your PIN. You also understand that reasonable precautions include, but are not limited to the following: o You agree not to tell or disclose your PIN to any other person. o You agree not to write your PIN on your card. o You agree not to keep a written record of your PIN near your card. This means you agree not to keep your PIN in the same wallet, cardholder, envelope, or place where you keep your card.
