Planning and Development Services i. Strategic, comprehensive, transportation, infrastructure and other long-range planning services; master facility planning; comprehensive financial planning; planning & zoning administration and best practices.
Planning and Development Services. A. Employees in the classifications of Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, and Chief Building Inspector shall receive certification pay for each State of Florida Standard Certification as an Inspector earned in the other trades. For example, a Building Inspector (who must have the State of Florida Standard Certification for Building Inspector in order to qualify for the position) will receive certification pay if the employee were to obtain the State of Florida Standard Certification for Mechanical, Electrical, Erosion Control, One and Two Family, or Plumbing Inspector. For each additional certification held, the employee will receive sixty dollars ($60.00) on a bi-weekly basis. Given the frequent interaction between Inspectors and Plans Examiners, Inspectors will also receive certification pay for each State of Florida Standards Certification as a Plans Examiner in two (2) of the four (4) trades, i.e., Building, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing. For each Plans Examiner certification held, the employee will receive thirty- five dollars ($35.00) on a biweekly basis. B. Employees in the classifications of Plans Examiner and Sr. Plans Examiner shall receive certification pay for each additional State of Florida Standard Certification as Plans Examiners earned in the Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing disciplines, beyond the One and Two Family certificate and the (1) trade certificate required. For each additional certification held, the employee will receive sixty dollars ($60.00) on a biweekly basis. Given the frequent interaction between Plans Examiners and Inspectors, Plans Examiners, and Senior Plans Examiners will also receive certification pay for each State of Florida Standards Certification as an Inspector in two (2) of the four (4) areas, i.e., Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing. For each Inspector certification held, the employee will receive thirty-five dollars ($35.00) on a biweekly basis. C. Employees who fail to maintain a particular certification shall cease to receive the certification pay for that certification. It shall be the responsibility of the employee to pay whatever fees are associated with obtaining and maintaining the various certifications, and to provide Management with the necessary documents verifying the receipt and maintenance of same. Planning and Development Services. (1) The City and the County shall amend the Intergovernmental Coordination Element of their respective comprehensive plans in accordance with Section 171.203(9), Florida Statutes, within six (6) months of the effective date of this Agreement, by adopting a policy referencing this Agreement. The County’s policy shall read as follows, and shall be inserted in Chapter 14 of the County’s comprehensive plan: 14.1 2. (2) The City shall adopt a Municipal Service Area (“MSA”), as that term is defined in Section 171.202(11), Florida Statutes, as an amendment to its comprehensive plan within six (6) months of the effective date of the ISBA, in accordance with Section 171.203(11), Florida Statutes. The MSA shall include the area depicted on Map 1, population projections for the MSA, and data and analysis supporting the provision of public facilities for the MSA. (3) Section 171.207, Florida Statutes, expressly authorizes a county to transfer its powers to a municipality over lands that are within a JPA/MSA; and Section 171.208, Florida Statutes, expressly authorizes a municipality to exercise its powers, extraterritorially, over such lands. In accordance with Sections 163.3171(4) and 171.203(6)(f), Florida Statutes, the County comprehensive plan, zoning, and land development regulations shall apply to, and the County shall enforce on, all lands in the JPA/MSA until the City annexes the land at issue. Immediately upon annexation, the City shall amend its comprehensive plan future land use map and official zoning map to assign said land a City future land use designation and zoning classification. If the City fails to assign a future land use designation and zoning classification, the City shall administer the County’s future land use designation and zoning classification.
Planning and Development Services. The fees for the various services under this category shall be as follows : (i) for preparing a preliminary technical evaluation of a project the fees shall be as set out in paragraph 3(1) of this section;
Planning and Development Services. The services to be provided under this category are – (i) preparing a preliminary technical evaluation of a project to enable the ▇.▇.▇▇ reach a decision on whether to proceed and the possible form and content of the project; (ii) preparing plans for housing development or other schemes including preliminary layout plans as may be required for discussion with the relevant authorities leading to the preparation of detailed development plans based on the layout plan as approved by either the relevant authority or the P.D. to enable the project to be implemented; and (iii) preparing documents and providing all other services necessary in connection with demolition works for the erection of a new building when undertaken separately from the contract.

  • Training and Development 3.1 Authorities will develop local 'Workforce Development Plans (see Part 4.8),' closely linked to their service delivery plans, which will provide the focus for the establishment of training and development priorities. Training and development should be designed to meet the corporate and service needs of authorities both current and in the future, taking into account the individual needs of employees. Local schemes on training and development should enable authorities to attain their strategic objectives through development of their employees. Training and development provisions should be shaped to local requirements and take account of the full range of learning methods. Such an approach should enable access to learning for all employees. The needs of part time employees and shift workers need particular consideration. 3.2 Employees attending or undertaking required training are entitled to payment of normal earnings; all prescribed fees and other relevant expenses arising. Employees are also entitled to paid leave for the purpose of sitting for required examinations. When attending training courses outside contracted daily hours, part-time employees should be paid on the same basis as full- time employees. (Assistance for other forms of learning, for example that directed at individual development, will be locally determined). Some training can be very expensive and authorities may require repayment of all or part of the costs incurred should an employee leave the authority before a reasonable time period has expired. The authority's policy in this regard should be made explicit. 3.3 Objectives for training and development programmes should include the following: • To enable Councils to attain their strategic objectives via investment in their employees. • To promote equity of access to learning. • To encourage employees to develop their skills and level of responsibility to the maximum of their individual potential. • To widen and modernise the skills profile of employees to maximise their versatility, employability and so, job security. • To enable employees to raise productivity, quality and customer service in pursuit of sustainable improvement 3.4 Authorities should establish local partnership arrangements, to include recognised trade unions, to develop their local workforce development plans. 3.5 The NJC endorses partnership provision such as the "Return to Learn" scheme. Authorities and the recognised trade unions shall encourage and support employees taking on the statutory Union Learning Representative (ULR) role. This will include agreeing facilities and paid release in accordance with statutory provisions. ULRs should be enabled to play a full part in promoting and implementing local training and development programmes.

  • Research and Development (i) Advice and assistance in relation to research and development of Party B; (ii) Advice and assistance in strategic planning; and

  • Development Services During the term of this Agreement, the Provider agrees to provide to or on behalf of the Port the professional services and related items described in Exhibit A (collectively, the “Development Services”) in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. The Provider specifically agrees to include at least one Port representative in any economic development negotiations or discussions in which the Provider is involved concerning (i) a port-related business prospect or (ii) a business transaction which will ultimately require Port involvement, financial or otherwise.

  • Creation and Development Fee If the Prospectus related to a Trust specifies a creation and development fee, the Trustee shall, on or immediately after the end of the initial offering period, withdraw from the Capital Account, an amount equal to the unpaid creation and development fee as of such date and credit such amount to a special non-Trust account designated by the Depositor out of which the creation and development fee will be distributed to the Depositor (the "Creation and Development Account").
