Posting in Same Classification – No Trial Period. An employee who is the senior candidate for a job posting that is within the same classification (job description) will not be required to participate in screening, interviewing or testing. However, such employee will participate in a familiarization session with the hiring supervisor for the purposes of orienting the employee to the new work assignment, shift and location. If an employee accepts the job offer for the new work location or shift following the familiarization session, the parties agree that the employee will not be required to undergo the trial period, (i.e. 15 and 25 day period), as referenced in article 9.05 a) i).
