Power Quality Requirements. All power quality parameters (i.e., voltage, flicker, frequency, distortion) are specified at the point of common coupling (PCC) unless otherwise stated. The following requirements must be met: 4.4.1. Voltage – the System shall be capable of operating within normal voltage operating limits of 120 volts or other voltage corresponding to the City's service voltage at the site.This range results in trip points at 105 volts and 133 volts. Power Quality Requirements. 5.7.1 The Q shall not create power system disturbances that will breach JPS standards and power system parameters as outlined in the Generation Code and Distribution Code. 5.7.2 JPS reserves the right to install test equipment as may be required to perform a disturbance analysis and monitor the operation of the QF to evaluate the quality of the power produced. If the system is demonstrated to be a source of interference, and the interference breaches JPS standards, requirements under the Generation Code and Distribution Code or generally accepted industry standards, then the QF shall be isolated from the JPS distribution network either by using the generator or interconnection disconnect switch until corrections are made to remedy the interference. 5.7.3 It is the QE’s responsibility to eliminate the interference caused by the QF.
Power Quality Requirements. The developer shall address, in the design of their facilities potential sources and mitigation of power quality degradation prior to interconnection. Design considerations should include applicable standards including, but not limited to Standards 142, 519, 1100, 1159, and ANSI C84.1. Typical forms of power quality degradation include, but are not limited to voltage regulation, voltage unbalance, harmonic distortion, flicker, voltage sags/interruptions and transients.

The Customer shall provide automatic means of disconnecting the System from the City’s electric system within one second if the voltage cannot be maintained within this tolerance.
Power Quality Requirements. 4.1 A Generation Facility connected to the GRICUA system must not cause harmful voltage fluctuations or interference with service and communication facilities. Any generation facility that does so is subject to being disconnected from the GRICUA system until the condition has been corrected. The PV system must operate in synchronism with the utility at 60 Hz. The PV system must not inject direct current (DC) into the alternating current (AC) system. In addition to these standards, the customer’s PV system shall not cause any noticeable interference with telephone, radio, computer or other communication systems of the Utility or any of the Utility’s other customers.
Power Quality Requirements. The Generator must meet the power quality requirements at the connection point that are set out in this part. These are additional to any requirements set out in Schedule 5. 1. Operational contribution to harmonics and voltage notching
Power Quality Requirements. 4.1 Power quality at the customer’s meter must be within published national voltage (ANSI/IEEE Standard C84.1) and harmonic (ANSI/IEEE Standard 519) standards. The PV system must operate in synchronism with the utility at 60 Hz. The PV system must not inject direct current (DC) into the alternating current (AC) system. In addition to these standards, the customer’s PV system shall not cause any noticeable interference with telephone, radio, computer or other communication systems of the Utility or any of the Utility’s other customers. If the Customer’s power quality does not meet these standards, or if the PV system interferes with the power quality of other Utility customers, the Utility reserves the right to disconnect the PV system from its system. 4.2 The Utility’s flicker standard is defined as: Any system or load shall not affect the voltage of other utility customers to such an extent that the disturbance is perceived and irritating to other customers. This is approximately a 2-3 volt dip on a 120 volt basis for a very short period of time. 4.3 The Utility considers flicker, excessive harmonics and interference with communications system as a serious impairment to the distribution system and may disconnect the customer in accordance with paragraph 6.2 of the Interconnection Agreement. A GRICUA hold tag is defined as: “THE DISABLING OF A RECLOSING OPERATION OF A BREAKER OR LINE RECLOSER”. The Hold Tag is used to aid in protection of personnel working on or near energized equipment, whereby REENERGIZING of a line is disabled. When a Hold Tag for a circuit is in effect, if the circuit BREAKER OR LINE RECLOSER trips open, it prevents RECLOSING OF A BREAKER OR RECLOSER until it is verified that all personnel are in the clear AND THE CREW CANCELS THE HOLD TAG.

  • Power Quality Neither the facilities of Developer nor the facilities of Connecting Transmission Owner shall cause excessive voltage flicker nor introduce excessive distortion to the sinusoidal voltage or current waves as defined by ANSI Standard C84.1-1989, in accordance with IEEE Standard 519, or any applicable superseding electric industry standard. In the event of a conflict between ANSI Standard C84.1-1989, or any applicable superseding electric industry standard, ANSI Standard C84.1-1989, or the applicable superseding electric industry standard, shall control.
