PREAMBLE AND PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. Section 1. This memorandum of understanding, hereinafter referred to as the Agreement, is entered into between the County of Itasca, hereinafter called the Employer, and Local No. 639A, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, hereinafter called the Union. The intent and purpose of this Agreement is to: 1.1 Express, in written form, the complete Agreement between the parties on hours, wages, and all other conditions of employment. 1.2 Establish orderly procedures for the resolution of disputes. 1.3 Specify the full and complete understanding of the parties. 1.4 Maintain and improve greater individual productivity and quality of services. 1.5 Insure against any interruptions of work and interference with the efficient and effective rendering of service to the public.
