Procedures for Grievances. In order to establish a proper procedure to permit the hearing and resolution of grievances and to provide means for the resolution of grievances as rapidly as possible, the procedures set forth below shall apply:‌ Definition of Grievance: A grievance is a claimed violation, misapplication, or misinterpretation of a specific provision of this Agreement which adversely affects the grievant except for the following: rejection from probation, performance evaluations, any exercise or lack of exercise of management rights, any complaint for which another avenue of appeal exists, and any claim of violation of law including the requirement to meet and confer under the ▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇ Act. A grievance is also any dispute concerning a disciplinary action which results in loss of pay. A letter of reprimand may be grieved but only to Step 4 of the grievance procedure. No other disputes may be pursued through this grievance procedure.
