Common use of Professional Development Activities Clause in Contracts

Professional Development Activities. If the following conditions are met, professional development activities will be eligible for an increase to the base salary up to the maximum of an employee’s salary range, upon successful completion of his/her initial Introductory Period. Official college transcripts or certification documents must be submitted to the Human Resources Department prior to final approval and for inclusion in the employee’s personnel file. A salary adjustment for an employee who works less than twelve (12) months per year or less than five (5) days per week will be prorated in the same proportion as his/her scheduled time worked bears to the normal full-time work schedule. These professional development activities must be pre-approved by the appropriate President’s Cabinet member.
