Common use of Professional Development Clause in Contracts

Professional Development. (a) The Parties recognise that commencing 1 January 2023, professional development training may be required for the renewal or retention of an electrical licence. (b) Where a regulatory authority determines that an Employee is required to attend training for the purposes of licence retention or renewal, and such training takes place within the spread of ordinary hours, an Employee will be entitled to attend the training without loss of pay. For the avoidance of doubt, the costs of the training will be borne by the Employee.
