Common use of Professional Positions Clause in Contracts

Professional Positions. a. In addition to receiving their normal teaching salary, each position outlined below shall be paid the corresponding stipend. Stipends greater than $5,000 shall be distributed throughout the year during the normal pay periods. Stipends less than $5,000 will be paid as a lump sum at the completion of the work. In the event that a teacher serves less than a full work year, the stipend shall be pro-rated accordingly. In addition, the positions shall be considered as one-year appointments and renewal for these positions shall be subject to appointment by the principal, or in the case of the Director of the Summer Enrichment Program/Summer School, the Assistant Superintendent. For the duration of this contract, a stipend will be paid to up to twelve (12) Equity Leaders, to be appointed by the Director of Equity, Integration, and Community Partnerships. These stipends may not be available after the 2024-2025 school year if, at the sole discretion of the Director of Equity, Integration, and Community Partnerships, there is not sufficient grant funding.
