Common use of Professional Workshops Clause in Contracts

Professional Workshops. 1. In the event an employee wishes to attend a professional workshop, clinic, convention, a two (2) day absence per school year will be granted by the Board without loss of pay. 2. In cases of requests involving expenses to be paid (in addition to substitute pay) or additional days, approval must be obtained from the Board. 3. No more than two (2) employees will be permitted to attend the same conference without Board approval. 4. Requests for attendance at professional meetings shall be submitted on the proper form to the building Principal for approval. No employee’s request will be denied except for bona fide business reasons, scheduling conflicts, etc.
