Common use of Project Implementation Unit Clause in Contracts

Project Implementation Unit. (a) The Recipient shall, not later than one (1) month after the Effective Date, establish and thereafter maintain throughout the period of implementation of the Project, a team of experts (collectively referred to as the “Project Implementation Unit” or “PIU”) in MoH with composition, attribution and resources acceptable to the Association, including staff of the relevant directorates of MoH and consultants as needed in adequate number, each selected and appointed or recruited on the basis of terms of reference, qualifications and experience acceptable to the Association, for the purpose of coordinating and supervising the implementation of the Project.
