Common use of Public Records Request Clause in Contracts

Public Records Request. When documents in an individual employee’s personnel, payroll, supervisor, training, safety, or medical file are the subject of a public records request, the Employer will provide the employee notice of the request in advance of the intended release date. If the Employer receives a public records request for personal information (RCW 42.56.250(4)) for the entire membership of the Union working for the Employer, the Employer shall notify the Union as soon as possible and prior to the release of the information.

When documents in an individual employee’s personnel, payroll, supervisor, training, safety, or medical file file, or an employee’s written or electronic communications are the subject of a public records request, the Employer Agency will provide the employee notice of the request in advance of the intended release datedate in accordance with RCW 42.56.250(12). If the Employer Agency receives a public records request for personal information (RCW 42.56.250(4)) for the entire membership of the Union working for the EmployerAgency, the Employer Agency shall notify the Union as soon as possible and prior to the release of the information.
