Purpose of Seniority. Sergeants shall be allowed preference for use of and scheduling of vacation time, work schedule selection, request for time off, first choice for extra duty among sergeants, and for first choice of approved hire-back according to seniority. Providing first choice for hire-back opportunities shall be the responsibility of the sergeants. Any ordering in by the City will be done by reverse seniority.
