Rate of Pay for Overtime. a) On an employee’s regularly scheduled work day, overtime at the rate of time and one-half (1 ½) the employee’s regular hourly rate shall be paid to the employee for all hours worked after 40 hours of work during the pay period. b) In addition, if an employee is required to work on a day outside their normal scheduled work week, all hours worked shall be paid at the overtime rate of time and one-half (1 ½) the employee’s regular hourly rate. For purposes of overtime calculation, hours worked does include holiday pay, but does not include other types of paid time such as vacation, sick time, bereavement leave or jury duty. c) In emergency situations, as identified by the Superintendent/designee, overtime may be granted even in the event paragraphs (a) and/or (b) above are not met.
