Reassignment in Lieu of Layoff. a) Vacant Code in County In the event of notice of layoff, any employee so affected will be allowed to transfer to a vacant position in the same classification in any County department/agency, provided the employee meets the specialized qualifications which may be established through testing and examination or by selective certification.

Reassignment in Lieu of Layoff. a) Vacant Code in County Positions In the event of notice of layoff, any an employee so affected will be allowed to transfer to a vacant position the County has determined to fill in his/her classification within the department where the layoff occurred or any classification at the same classification or lower level within the department where the layoff occurred in any County department/agency, provided which the employee meets had formerly held permanent status. The County shall provide a listing of appropriate vacancies and the specialized qualifications which employee may be established through testing and examination or by selective certificationselect from this list.
