Common use of Reclassification Request Clause in Contracts

Reclassification Request. 6 A request for reclassification(s) for a unit member(s) may be made by the Association; however, 7 unit members may request reclassification directly to the Human Resources Office. Such requests 8 shall be in writing. Reclassification requests shall be reviewed and completed within a reasonable 9 length of time [not to exceed eighteen (18) months in duration]. Unit member(s) working less than 10 twelve (12) months shall have their reclassification request placed on hold for the summer period. 11 13.1.1.1 A joint Reclassification Committee (committee), comprised of no more than four (4) members 12 appointed by the Association and no more than four (4) members appointed by the District, shall 13 consider all reclassification requests received. Requests will be reviewed and evaluated by the 14 committee and a recommendation will be made for the Board of Education’s consideration. Any 15 member of the committee that has a conflict of interest shall recuse his/herself from the process. An 16 alternate member from management and/or CSEA shall participate for that one review.
