Recognition of Stewards. (a) The Employer recognizes the Union's right to appoint stewards and the Union shall notify the Employer of such appointments, in writing. A ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall obtain the permission of his/her supervisor prior to leaving his/her work area to attend to union duties relating to the Employer's operations.
