Common use of Redundancy / Severance Clause in Contracts

Redundancy / Severance. 20.1 Subject to sub-clause 20.3, in addition to the period of notice prescribed for termination in clause 8 of this Agreement, an Employee (other than an exempt Employee as defined in Part 2-2 Division 11 - Subdivision C of the FW Act) whose employment is terminated due to their position being made redundant will be entitled to an amount of redundancy pay prescribed by the FW Act in respect to the applicable period of continuous service below: Less than 1 year Nil 1 year and less than 2 years 4 weeks 2 years and less than 3 years 6 weeks 3 years and less than 4 years 7 weeks 4 years and less than 5 years 8 weeks 5 years and less than 6 years 10 weeks 6 years and less than 7 years 11 weeks 7 years and less than 8 years 13 weeks 8 years and less than 9 years 14 weeks 9 years and less than 10 years 16 weeks 10 years and over 12 weeks 20.2 In addition to the period of notice prescribed at clause 8 of this Agreement, for the purpose of severance payments under this clause 20, a full-time Employee shall accrue:

This severance payment will be forwarded to the purpose Protect industry scheme on behalf of severance payments under this clause 20, a full-time Employee shall accrue:the Employee.
