Reference Drawings Clause Samples

The Reference Drawings clause defines which drawings are officially recognized as part of the contract documents and serve as a basis for the project's design and construction. It typically lists or refers to specific drawings, such as site plans, elevations, or detail sheets, that the contractor must follow during the work. By clearly identifying these documents, the clause ensures that all parties are aligned on the visual and technical standards required, reducing the risk of disputes over design intent or scope.

The City will make all reasonable arrangements to produce the reproductions for the Contractor in accordance with any request. The information contained therein may not be complete nor disclose the true conditions that may be encountered during the course of the Work under this Contract. The Contractor must take its own measurements at the site of the Work and perform any required field checks of all information obtained from these drawings instead of relying on their content.
