Regular Appointments. The duty year for faculty members with regular appointments shall consist of one hundred sixty-eight (168) duty days within the academic year. Resident faculty members at Metropolitan State University, the Association, and the President/designee may mutually agree to alternative duty day calendars of one hundred sixty- eight (168) duty days during an academic year. Duty days shall not be scheduled on New Years Day, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇, Presidents Day*, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day*, Veterans Day*, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas Day. *The President may, after meeting and conferring with the Association, designate alternate non-duty days for the observance of these days for academic units when such revisions are in the best interests of the university.
