Regular Faculty Clause Samples

Regular Faculty. The total number of days allowed in one academic year shall not exceed five days for other than adjunct or part-time unit members.
Regular Faculty. Regular faculty members are hired to teach broadly across the curriculum, with the expectation that successful performance of their responsibilities will lead to a continuing position. Faculty members hired into a regular position will be given an initial, probationary contract of three (3) years. (A faculty member may be appointed to an initial, continuing contract in those circumstances described in Section 11.5). If the faculty member meets the standards and criteria for reappointment described in Section 11.2, he or she will receive a second three-year term contract. If the faculty member meets the standards and criteria for conversion described in Section 11.3, a second term contract leads to a continuing contract. Regular faculty members who have received a continuing contract have a continuing appointment until the time of their retirement/resignation unless their employment is terminated in accord with this Agreement. Regular faculty appointments may be full-time or half-time, based on the needs of the College. 5.2.1 Although the regular faculty is hired to the college, they may be hired to teach primarily in the full-time, day-time curriculum or in Evening and Weekend Studies. Faculty teaching primarily in the full-time, day-time curriculum or in Evening and Weekend Studies may, with the concurrence of present and prospective colleagues and the approval of the academic deans, teach in another area of the curriculum. 5.2.2 Regular faculty may be hired to teach in specific programs: the Tacoma Program, the Reservation-Based/Community Determined Tribal Program, the Practice of Sustainable Agriculture Program, or one of the graduate programs. Faculty whose specific responsibilities lie within a particular program maintain their status as regular members of the faculty and are expected to rotate regularly into other areas of the curriculum. 5.2.3 Regular faculty may be hired to work in the library. Library faculty have responsibilities specific to their positions in the library, and are also required to rotate regularly into other areas of the curriculum, as described in Article 6. 5.2.4 The President and ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may hold regular faculty status, but are not members of the bargaining unit and are not covered by this Agreement. Regular Faculty. Regular faculty shall be evaluated using student feedback (or the bargaining unit member may request an SGID in place of the student feedback), and colleague feedback.
Regular Faculty. The COLLEGE shall pursue and exert efforts to upgrade positions of faculty same as those enjoyed by other SUCs.
Regular Faculty. Regular faculty shall be evaluated using student evaluations (or the bargaining unit member may request an SGID in place of the student evaluations), colleague and supervisor feedback and the self- evaluation packet as provided in the appendix.
Regular Faculty. If, during the period between regularly scheduled evaluations of a regular faculty member, in the judgment of the appropriate administrator there is a new or escalating issue identified that is significant or compelling, the appropriate administrator may elect to follow the following process to initiate an additional evaluation: (a) inform the faculty member by written notice of her/his concerns and the reasons therefore; (b) within ten (10) days of receipt of the written notice, the appropriate administrator shall schedule a meeting with the faculty member to discuss these concerns and opportunities for improvement; (c) provide the appropriate vice president a copy of the written notice containing his/her concern. The appropriate vice president will confer with the CCFT president regarding the concerns. A committee of three CCFT officers will review the case and report back within ten (10) days. The committee may seek input from the appropriate administrator if necessary. Information reviewed by the committee will remain confidential. If the appropriate vice president and CCFT agree, then an additional evaluation, following the process in Article 17.4, will commence with amended timelines. (d) depending on the outcome of the additional evaluation, another evaluation may occur the following semester according to Articles 17.4.11 and 17.4.12.

  • Regular Full Time employee - Regular full-time employee shall mean an employee employed to meet ongoing operational requirements on a year-round basis and is scheduled to work the full-time hours contained in Article 18. Regular full-time employees who are laid off shall retain their regular full-time status with the Company while on layoff.

  • Regular Hours The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except that they may be interrupted by a lunch period.

  • Regular Employees Service credit shall be the period of employment with the Company and any service restored as per Part A, Item 5.3.

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
