Common use of Regular Work Day and Regular Work Week Clause in Contracts

Regular Work Day and Regular Work Week. Employees shall work eight (8) consecutive hours in each work day exclusive of meal periods and forty (40) hours in each week. Times of Work The normal hours of work shall be from A.M. to Monday to Friday inclusive but where it is necessary to provide service on Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, sufficient staff for that purpose shall be maintained at the discretion of the Employer. Where the nature of the work, the exigencies of the service or existing regulations are such that it is not possible to observe the hours prescribed in Section the Employer may set different hours of work. Any variations to a work day or work week other than those described in Section shall only be instituted with the mutual consent of both the parties hereto.
