Requests for Hardship Reassignment. 1. An employee may request, individually or through their supervisor to the HRO, that the Agency reassign them to a different position and or work location because of a personal hardship. The request shall be submitted in writing and must include an explanation of the hardship, how the reassignment would alleviate the hardship, and whether the reassignment would be temporary or permanent. Request for transfers under this Section shall not be unreasonably denied. 2. The Agency shall provide a written response no later than thirty (30) days after receipt of a request. If the request is denied the Agency shall state the reason(s) for their decision, to include justification of any claims of undue hardship or negative impacts on its ability to accomplish the mission.
