Required Technical Specifications. 1. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, supervision, tools, test equipment, and conduct appropriate tests to provide installation service to VCU. All installations shall conform to appropriate installation standards and guidelines, including State and University rules. The Contractor shall comply with all aspects of the following: a. EIA / TIA – 568-C and addenda, Commercial Building Telecommunications Wiring Standards. b. EIA / TIA – 569 – B and addenda, Commercial Building Standard for Telecommunications Pathways and Spaces. c. In order to ensure compliance with the above standards, the Contractor shall perform installations utilizing the methods and recommendations detailed in the Building Industry Consulting Services International Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual. 2. The Contractor shall fire stop all cable runs to meet national and local fire codes. All walls must maintain their fire rating. The Contractor shall provide as-built drawings in hard copy and electronic format. 4. The Contractor shall submit a detailed list of materials to include part numbers and quantities to be used for all VCU Network Services projects that are competitively solicited under the resulting agreement. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to notify VCU Network Services of any part number and or item description discrepancies prior to ordering materials. 5. Prior to starting work, the Contractor must provide a detailed work schedule to VCU Network Services, including: a. The on-site Supervisor shall be on-site at all times. b. The on-site Supervisor’s name and phone number shall be provided on the schedule. c. The name of all wiring technicians, for each project, shall be provided on the schedule. The names will be cross-referenced with the certifications that were submitted with the RFP process. 6. All Contractor personnel working on VCU Network Services’ projects shall be responsible for obtaining a VCU Contractors and affiliates ID card. This ID card shall be worn at all times. The VCUCard office will issue the ID badge at a cost, to the Contractor, of $30 each. If the contractor’s technician is unable to provide the VCU identification badge, upon request, he/she will be asked to leave the job site.   • Technical Specifications The purpose of the Technical Specifications (TS), is to define the technical characteristics of the Goods and Related Services required by the Procuring Entity. The Procuring Entity shall prepare the detailed TS consider that:

  • DAF Specifications Developer shall submit initial specifications for the DAF, including System Protection Facilities, to Connecting Transmission Owner and NYISO at least one hundred eighty (180) Calendar Days prior to the Initial Synchronization Date; and final specifications for review and comment at least ninety (90) Calendar Days prior to the Initial Synchronization Date. Connecting Transmission Owner and NYISO shall review such specifications to ensure that the DAF are compatible with the technical specifications, operational control, and safety requirements of the Connecting Transmission Owner and NYISO and comment on such specifications within thirty (30) Calendar Days of Developer’s submission.
