Research and Development Support. The Company will remit U.S. $[***] to the Licensor (the “R&D Fee”).
Research and Development Support. 1. As part of the research support provided to Members, the Board will also provide to the Associate ▇▇▇▇ Research a budget of $57,000 per annum to enhance scholarly productivity through an open competition restricted to Bargaining Unit Members using the application form, guideline and procedures approved by the Joint Consultative Committee.
2. The Board shall provide start up funds for new tenure track or tenured Faculty of a minimum of $4,000 which must be spent within four (4) years of appointment.
3. The Board will ensure that Members shall have technical advice and assistance in the preparation of external grant applications.
4. Administration of Member research grants and/or research contracts shall be made through the Office of the Associate ▇▇▇▇ Research or, if appropriate given the institution through which the application was made, through the research office of another institution.
5. The Board shall permit researchers to receive a research grant in lieu of a portion of salary during periods of leave for research or study purposes in accordance with a policy approved by the Joint Consultative Committee.
6. If a Member in the performance of his/her research must work away from the two (2) campuses, and should the Member not receive reimbursement from the Board or another source for all of the expenses, the Board shall upon request from the Member complete a Canada Revenue Agency Conditions of Employment form.
7. Members who have both internal and external research grants for a given research project, have the right to allocate these funds at their discretion.
Research and Development Support. During the Collaborative Period, Firmenich will pay Senomyx research fees for the Collaborative Program including the activities performed pursuant to the Research Plan (“Research Fees”) as follows:
Research and Development Support a) For each of the years of the Collective Agreement the Board will provide to the Director of Graduate Studies and Research to enhance scholarly productivity through an open competition among Members: Year 2002-2003 $118,000 Year 2003-2004 $120,500 Year 2004-2005 $123,000 b) In each of the academic years 2002-2003, 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 the Board will provide the sum of $55,000 to assist Members in the task of obtaining and/or upgrading computer equipment. Out of the total amount, up to $8,000, will be available for Sessional Instructors. Each eligible faculty member will be entitled to a subsidy of $800 (or to a lesser amount as may be determined by the committee below) for the purpose of purchasing a computer. A committee of two members selected by ▇▇▇▇ and two members selected by the Administration will oversee the distribution of funds. Newly appointed full-time faculty members are entitled to receive at no cost a ‘standard computer’ as determined by Computer Services. In the event that such members wish to purchase a different computer they shall be entitled to the subsidy. If funds are limited, priority will be given to members who have not previously received a subsidy. Funds not spent in any given year may be carried forward to the following year.
Research and Development Support. During the Collaborative Period, Solae will pay Senomyx research fees for the Collaborative Program (“Research Fees”) as follows:

Research and Development Support. Prior to the Beta End Date C & T shall provide research and development support services to Axion with respect to the Technology and these support services shall be provided at no further cost to Axion. In the event of termination of the Development Effort or following the Beta End Date, C&T will continue to make such research and development services available to Axion for commercially reasonable fees.

Roche shall pay to Memory a total of six million dollars (US $6,000,000) for research and development support, which amount shall be non-refundable and non-creditable, and which will be due and payable in eight (8) equal quarterly installments of seven hundred fifty thousand dollars (US $750,000) per installment, each installment due and payable within thirty (30) days after (i) the first day of each calendar quarter after the Effective Date and (ii) receipt by Roche of an invoice for such sums.
