Returning Staff Clause Samples

The Returning Staff clause outlines the terms under which employees who have previously worked for an organization may be rehired or reinstated. Typically, this clause specifies eligibility criteria, such as the length of time since the employee's departure, the circumstances of their prior exit, and any conditions that must be met before returning. For example, it may address whether returning staff retain prior benefits, seniority, or are subject to probationary periods. The core function of this clause is to provide clear guidelines for rehiring former employees, ensuring consistency and fairness in the reemployment process.
