RIF List. Once the teachers have been selected for suspension, a list will be made available showing the order of recall within each area of certification/license. The Board shall recall members in reverse order of layoff.
RIF List. Each September the District shall distribute an updated RIF list to the Association president. The list shall indicate the most recent date of hire for each employee, his/her current assignment and the categories for which the employee is certified.
RIF List. Annually, by March 1st, an endorsement ranking list of all teachers shall be prepared and kept in the Superintendent’s office in case of a RIF. A copy of this list shall also be provided to the President of the Union. A teacher shall have ten (10) employment days from the date of notification of the tentative department seniority list to file objections with the Superintendent or designee to the information shown on the list, including the teacher's ranking by department. After the period of teacher objections has passed, the Superintendent or designee shall prepare a finalized list by March 10. The failure of a teacher or the Union to make a specific, timely objection shall be deemed an acceptance of the ranking and shall prohibit any subsequent challenges to rankings until the posting of the list in the following school year.
RIF List. Bargaining unit members selected for suspension under this Article shall immediately be placed on a RIF List and such list shall be given to the MLEA. No new teachers shall be employed by the Board while there are teachers on the RIF List who are certified for any opening. a. Reductions shall be made by suspending contracts based upon the Superintendent’s recommendation. Members of the bargaining unit to be affected will be notified in writing. All members of the bargaining unit will be placed on a reduction in force list for each teaching field for which they are properly certificated as evidenced by a current certificate on file with the Treasurer of the District. It is the full responsibility of the employee to make certain any certificate is on file with the Treasurer. Teachers serving under continuing contracts will be placed at the top of the list, in descending order of seniority. Teachers serving under limited contracts will be placed on the list under continuing contract teachers also in descending order of seniority. b. When a reduction in force (RIF) becomes necessary the following procedure shall be followed: Teachers’ evaluation rating for the purpose of reduction in force shall be based upon an average of the three (3) most recent summative ratings calculated as follows:  Ratings of Accomplished shall equal four (4) points;  Ratings of Skilled shall equal three (3) points;  Ratings of Developing shall equal two (2) points:  Ratings of Ineffective shall equal one (1) point. The sum of the teachers’ most recent three (3) years shall be added together, divided by three (3) and rounded to the nearest whole number to find the “average” rating. The teacher shall then be placed in the appropriate order on the reduction in force list based on his/her average rating. For example, a teacher rated Developing, Skilled, and Skilled in the most recent three (3) years would be slotted in with the teachers rated Skilled (2+3+3 = 8 / 3 = 2.666 which is rounded to 3 = Skilled). Limited contract teachers shall be reduced first utilizing the following order: 1. Ineffective evaluations as measured by the average of the final summative ratings. 2. Developing evaluations as measured by the average of the final summative rating. 3. Skilled evaluations as measured by the average of the final summative rating. 4. RIF List. Employees who have been laid off shall be placed on a RIF List for a period of one (1) year. If positions become available, Employer will post the opportunities on its website. Employees are encouraged to apply for any positions which they are qualified. If all qualifications are equal across candidates, Employees laid off under the provisions of this Article shall be selected first (in preference to new applicants), and shall be considered based on the annual job assignment factors in Article 12.

Equipment, Products, or Services may be added or removed from the Hot List at any time through a Sourcewell Price and Product Change Form as defined in Article 4 below. Hot List program and pricing may also be used to discount and liquidate close-out and discontinued Equipment and Products as long as those close-out and discontinued items are clearly identified as such.
