Common use of Right to Associate Clause in Contracts

Right to Associate. The Reinsurer shall have the right, but not the obligation, to associate at its own expense in the defense or settlement of all claims impacting this Contract, and the Reinsured shall cooperate with the Reinsurer in this regard. However, nothing in this clause shall over-ride the provisions of the Loss Settlements Clause. Choice of Law & Jurisdiction The validity, construction and performance of this Contract shall be governed by the law of England and Wales and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute hereunder
