Right to Assign Clause Samples

The Right to Assign clause grants one or both parties the ability to transfer their rights and obligations under the contract to another party. In practice, this means that, unless restricted, a party could sell or otherwise assign their interest in the agreement to a third party, such as transferring a lease to a new tenant or assigning payment rights to a financing company. This clause is essential for providing flexibility in business arrangements and clarifying whether and how contractual interests can be transferred, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring all parties understand the limits of assignment.
