Rostered Days Off (RDO. 37.1 Boral Recycling may, at its discretion, require a full-time employee to work ordinary hours in such a way that the employee will become entitled to a Rostered Day Off ("RDO") in accordance with the provisions of this clause. 37.2 Subject to clause 36 above, an RDO may be accrued by an employee working 8 ordinary hours per day for each of 19 days over a continuous 4-week cycle. 37.3 An employee shall take an RDO at a time agreed between Boral Recycling and the employee having regard to the needs of the business. Where such agreement cannot be reached, Boral Recycling may direct an employee to take an RDO on the provision of seven (7) days' notice. 37.4 At the employee's request, Boral Recycling may agree to cash out an employee's accrued RDO entitlements at any time throughout the year. ▇▇▇'s will be cashed out at the employee's ordinary time rate. Where RDOs are cashed out the employee's RDO's balance will be reduced accordingly. 37.5 Accrued but untaken RDOs shall be paid out to an employee upon termination of employment. 37.6 Except as otherwise agreed, an employee shall be paid 8 hours in respect of each RDO accrued and taken. An employee will have no entitlement to an RDO unless they have a minimum of 7.6 hours in their RDO bank at the time of taking the RDO. 37.7 Despite any other provision of this Agreement, Boral Recycling may, at its discretion, require an employee to take RDO's, including accumulated RDO's, during a close down period or down turn period in the business, provided that Boral Recycling gives the employee 28 days' notice of the requirement to use the RDOs. 37.8 Each day of paid leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle of four (4) weeks will be regarded as a day worked for the purposes of accruing an RDO.

Rostered Days Off (RDO. 37.1 Boral Recycling may10.1 This clause applies to full-time Centre-based educators working directly with children – Educators, at its discretionSenior Educators, require Early Childhood Teachers and Trainees.
10.2 This clause does not apply to Cooks, Centre Administrators, employees working in Preschools, and part-time and casual employees.
10.3 An employee will accrue one RDO for each twenty days of service. The employee will work 152 hours over 19 days in each four-week period with one RDO on full pay in each such period. An employee will accrue 24 minutes (0.4 of an hour) for each eight-hour day worked to give the employee an entitlement to take RDOs.
10.4 A full-time employee, who has not worked a complete four-week cycle in order to accrue an RDO, will accrue a pro-rata amount for each day worked.
10.5 A full-time employee to work ordinary hours in such a way that the employee will become is entitled to not more than twelve paid RDOs in a Rostered Day Off ("RDO") in accordance with the provisions of this clauseyear.
37.2 Subject to clause 36 above, 10.6 Centre Directors have discretion for approval of when an RDO will be taken based on employee individual circumstances and the operational needs of the organisation.
10.7 Employees may accrue up to a maximum of three RDOs at a time. These may be accrued by an employee working 8 ordinary hours per day for each of 19 days over taken off individually or in a continuous 4-week cycle.
37.3 An employee shall take an RDO block at a time agreed between Boral Recycling mutually convenient to the employer and the employee having regard employee. SDN reserves the right to pay out RDOs at the needs base rate of the business. Where such agreement cannot be reached, Boral Recycling may direct an employee to take an RDO on the provision pay if more than three days of seven (7) days' noticeRDOs are accrued at a time.
37.4 At the employee's request, Boral Recycling may agree 10.8 RDOs will not accrue from year to cash out an employee's accrued year. Any unused RDO entitlements at any time throughout the year. ▇▇▇'s will be cashed out at the employee's ordinary time rate. Where RDOs are cashed out the employee's RDO's balance will be reduced accordingly.
37.5 Accrued but untaken RDOs shall be paid out to the employee at the end of each calendar year at the normal base rate of pay.
10.9 RDOs accrue on time worked and Personal/Carers Leave and will not accrue while employees are on Annual Leave, Public Holidays, RDOs, Long Service Leave, Leave without Pay, Parental Leave, Workers Compensation and any unpaid leave.
10.10 When an employee upon moves from full-time to part-time, their RDOs will be paid out at their base rate of pay in the following pay period.
10.11 An employee will be entitled to be paid, on termination of employment.
37.6 Except as otherwise agreed, an employee shall be paid 8 hours in respect of each RDO accrued and taken. An employee will for RDOs which have no entitlement to an RDO unless they have a minimum of 7.6 hours in their RDO bank been accumulated but not taken at the base rate of pay at the date of termination. 11 Non-Contact Time
11.1 Non-contact time of taking the RDO.
37.7 Despite any other provision of this Agreement, Boral Recycling may, at its discretion, require an employee to take RDO's, including accumulated RDO's, during a close down period or down turn period in the business, provided that Boral Recycling gives the employee 28 days' notice of the requirement to use the RDOs.
37.8 Each day of paid leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle of four (4) weeks will be regarded as a day worked solely used for the purposes of accruing planning, preparing and programming, except for Room Leaders (see clause 11.5).
11.2 Full-time Educators and Senior Educators employed in SDN centres and preschools who are responsible for planning, preparing and programming will receive a minimum of two hours of non-contact time per week (pro-rata for part time employees). Notwithstanding this, a Centre Director may roster non-contact time in blocks of up to four hours, each fortnight, to suit the operational needs of an RDOindividual centre.
11.3 Where non-contact time is not able to be taken at the scheduled time and as a consequence there is work that has to be completed outside of their ordinary hours, employees will accrue time in lieu or be paid at overtime rates in order to complete programming outside of their ordinary hours of work. All requests to work additional hours must be approved by the employee’s manager. Information Box Non-contact time for part-time employees will be pro-rated based on their normal working hours. For example, if an employee works 24 hours per week, they will receive a minimum of 1.26 hours of non-contact time per week. 24 hours/38 hours = 63.15% 63.15% x 2 hours = 1.26 hours of non-contact time per week (equals 1 hour and 15 minutes)
11.4 Full-time Early Childhood Teachers and Educational Leaders employed in SDN centres and preschools who are responsible for planning, preparing and programming will receive four hours of non-contact time per week (pro-rata for part- time employees). In circumstances where absenteeism or operational issues do not allow for the taking of four hours in any given week, the employee may use the balance of hours in the following weeks in agreement with the Centre Director.
11.4.1 Notwithstanding clauses 11.1 and 11.4, SDN may request that an Early Childhood Teacher undertakes professional development, attends meetings or engages in other employer directed activities during up to two hours of their non-contact time. Such agreement will be at the discretion of the employee.
11.5 Full-time Room Leaders employed in SDN centres and preschools will receive four hours of non-contact time per week (pro-rata for part-time employees). In circumstances where absenteeism or operational issues do not allow for the taking of four hours in any given week, the employee may use the balance of hours in the following weeks in agreement with the Centre Director. Up to a maximum of two hours of non-contact time per week may be used for professional development, training, supervision meetings and other employer directed activities.
11.6 SDN has specific regulatory responsibilities in regards to child/employee ratios. Where the provision of non-contact time may impact these responsibilities, the child/employee ratio requirement will take priority.
11.7 How non-contact time is accessed and delivered will be at the discretion of each Centre Director.
11.8 Non-contact time must be rescheduled if it is not able to be taken at the scheduled time.
11.9 Relevant Educators and Early Childhood Teachers who are responsible for Transition to School Statements will receive one additional day of non-contact time per calendar year.
11.10 Non-contact time will be provided for supervising teachers (teachers supervising students) to complete all tasks associated with the supervision of students. The amount of non-contact time provided will be determined by the Centre Director based on the operational requirements of the service and the supervising teachers’ responsibilities.

9.4.1 Employees working an average of 152 (38 hours) hours in such a way that the employee or 140 (35 hours) hours per 4 week cycle respectively will become entitled to a accrue one Rostered Day Off ("RDO") / Leisure Day Off (LDO). To accrue time towards RDO/LDO employees are required to work 8 hours or 7 hours 22 minutes per day.

9.4.3 The RDO/LDO is to be taken at a set time each four week period that meets the operational requirements of the City. It is the responsibility of management to ensure that staff are working the required hours to accrue a leisure day off.
9.4.4 An employee may, on a case by case basis, take a set RDO/LDO at a different time, providing satisfactory arrangements have been made with the provisions of this clauseemployee‟s respective supervisor/manager/director.

Rostered Days Off (RDO. 37.1 Boral Recycling may, 24.1 If an employee is entitled to a rostered day off then the employee must be advised by the company:- · at its discretion, require least 4 weeks before the day the employee is to take off; or · a full-time lesser period of notice as agreed by the company and the majority of effected employees.
24.2 An employee will only be required to work on a rostered day off after attempts by the company to cover the casual vacancy by other means have failed.
24.3 An employee will be paid for working ordinary hours in such on an RDO either:- ordinary rates for time worked during ordinary hours on a way that rostered day off, and - · the employee will become entitled then take a day off in lieu before the end of the employee’s next roster cycle; and · this day in lieu will be selected by the employee provided that at least one week’s notice is given to a Rostered Day Off ("RDO") the Company; and · the employee will be allowed this day off unless the operations of the mine will be affected by the absence, OR overtime rates for the time worked during ordinary hours on the rostered day off, without any day off in accordance with the provisions of this clauselieu.

24.4 The Company may move the RDO of these employees to another day in the case of:- · a breakdown of machinery; · a failure or shortage of electric power; · meeting the requirements of the mine; or · an RDO unless they have a minimum emergency situation.
24.4.1 In the case of 7.6 hours in their RDO bank at the time of taking another day being substituted for the RDO, the new day becomes the RDO and the original day becomes an ordinary working day.
37.7 Despite any other provision 24.5 An individual employee, with the agreement of this Agreementthe Company, Boral Recycling may, at its discretion, require an may substitute the day the employee is to take RDO's, including accumulated RDO's, during off for another day.
24.6 Employees must not be required to work pre-shift overtime when resuming work immediately following a close down period or down turn period in rostered day off. This does not apply to statutory officials whose non-attendance would affect the business, provided that Boral Recycling gives the employee 28 days' notice operations of the requirement to use the RDOsmine.
37.8 Each day of paid leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle of four (4) weeks will be regarded as a day worked for the purposes of accruing an RDO.
