Scheduling Guidelines - Hybrid Schedule. (a) For the purposes of this article, Hybrid Schedule is defined as one that results in a Nurse working a combination of extended tours (11.25 hour tours) and normal tours (7.5 hour tours) within the scheduling period. (b) The Hybrid Schedule may be introduced into any unit when: i) Fifty-one percent (51%) of the Full-Time and regular part-time Nurses specifically assigned to such units so indicate by secret ballot; and ii) The Hospital agrees to implement the shift schedule in the unit. It is understood such agreement by the Hospital shall not be withheld in an unreasonable or arbitrary manner. I The Hybrid Schedule may be discontinued in any unit when: i) Fifty-one percent (51%) of the Full-Time and regular part-time Nurses specifically assigned to such unit so indicate by secret ballot; or ii) The Hospital determines that the schedule: A) Causes adverse effects on patient care; or B) Results in the inability to provide a workable staffing schedule; or C) Results in other undesirable outcomes that are neither unreasonable nor arbitrary.
