School Closures. The District may close schools for academic purposes or reduce programming due to public health, safety, severe weather or any other purpose as determined by the District. The District shall not owe Provider any compensation for times when services of Therapists are canceled, declined, or not required due to closure, reduction in programming, or exclusion of Therapists due to health risk assessment screenings or any other reason, and Provider agrees to indemnify District for Therapist claims arising from all such actions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, to the extent required by Section 10-20.56(d-15) of the School Code (105 ILCS 5/10-20.56(d-15)), when enforceable under law, the Parties understand that the District may determine it is required to pay Provider the daily, regular rate of pay and benefits for Therapists for any day of school closure or e-learning day if such closure precludes the Provider’s employees from performing its regularly scheduled duties and employees would have reported for work but for the closure, unless the day is rescheduled and the employees will be paid their daily, regular rate of pay and benefits for the rescheduled day when services are rendered. The Parties agree such payment constitute full satisfaction of Section 10-20.56(d-15). As a precondition to these payments being made, Provider shall provide an invoice for the foregoing pay and benefits costs; however, Provider will not include such pay and benefits costs for any school closure or e-learning day on any invoices until the last invoice of the school year in order to allow the District the opportunity to determine if the day will be rescheduled. When a payment is to be made by the District under this provision, Provider represents and warrants that it shall pay its employees their daily, regular rate of pay and benefits for any such school closure or e-learning day. Upon request, Provider shall provide the District with certified payrolls as evidence of compliance with this section. The District retains sole discretion to determine whether Section 10-20.56(d-15) applies to this Agreement or any day of school closure and, if the District determines such law is applicable, the District retains the discretion to determine if and when a school closure day is rescheduled. School Closures. Where a school is scheduled to close at the end of a school year, the transfer or placement for the following school year of a Teacher in that school will be considered prior to transfer under L13.8.

School Closures. If school must be canceled, the school year shall be extended and vacations and in-service days and holidays not required by Statute may be utilized to meet State and District curriculum requirements. The district will consult with the President of the Association (s) before revising the calendar as required. Such time will be made up without additional pay. Any student school days waived by OSPI due to emergency school closure shall also be work days waived for certificated staff. There shall be no loss of pay in such an instance.
School Closures. Duties When all schools are closed to students, including early dismissals, as determined by the administration, due to severe inclement weather or Act of God or extreme temperatures, teachers shall not be required to report for regularly assigned duties. However, employees may be required to remain if necessary for supervision of students, as determined by the administration, due to the weather, act of God, or other reason making normal transportation for students unavailable or impractical. Employees shall be required to perform extracurricular duties if those activities are not cancelled or postponed by administration.
School Closures a. In the event of school closure due to inclement weather or other circumstances, days will be paid. b. The school closures due to inclement weather or other circumstances will be paid at the employees’ regular pay rate and regular scheduled hours. c. Due to the problems inherent when closing schools during the school day due to an Act of God, a sequential time release of personnel will be required and will not be a matter of extra remuneration or compensatory time granted to those released last, or in fact not released until the regular close of the work day. Such a release timetable will be determined and announced by the Central Administration. d. Should the District close a building or program due to a health emergency (for example, COVID- 19), impacted employees must be redeployed (with 48-hour notice) to a similar position or receive pay (at their regular rate) for the duration of the closure.
School Closures. When schools are closed to students due to adverse weather conditions, bus drivers are not expected to report to their assigned terminals. When bus drivers have been compensated for those adverse weather days and the District reschedules some or all of those days, drivers will be required to drive their packages without any further compensation as scheduled by the District.
School Closures. Long Term Occasional teacher is employed on a day where the school is closed due to special climatic or catastrophic conditions, he/she shall be paid for the scheduled assignment.
School Closures. All 21st CCLC 4-H Before and After School programs will adhere to their host school’s schedule for closures, delays, and early dismissals. If there is a school closure or delayed opening due to inclement weather, there will be no before care at that location. If school is closed or is closing early due to inclement weather, there will be no 21st CCLC 4-H After School program for the day. Early dismissals are at the discretion of the school administration and the 21st CCLC staff will communicate to parents as quickly as possible in the instance that children are being sent home early. The decision to close early is made by the school district. Please have a backup plan for an emergency dismissal.
