Scope of Audits Clause Samples
The "Scope of Audits" clause defines the extent and boundaries of an audit that may be conducted under an agreement. It typically specifies which records, processes, or locations are subject to review, the time periods covered, and any limitations on access or frequency of audits. For example, it may allow auditors to examine only financial records related to a specific project or restrict audits to business hours. This clause ensures both parties have a clear understanding of what can be audited, thereby protecting sensitive information and preventing overly broad or disruptive audit activities.
