Common use of SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES Clause in Contracts

SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES. Unless specifically excepted in Appendix A herein, Architect shall provide to District all professional architectural and engineering services necessary to perform the Services in all phases of the Project to which this Agreement applies. 1.1.1. Services will include, but are not limited to, providing all professional architectural and engineering services necessary to perform the Services and complete the Project to which this Agreement applies, including but not limited to, all architectural services and all acoustical, civil, electrical, fire protection, mechanical, and structural engineering, landscape, and cost estimating services required to perform the Services on the Project to which this Agreement applies. 1.1.2. Performance of services will require Architect to work with, meet with, and attend meetings with District staff, with Inspectors, with District, with testing agencies, with other governmental agencies, with Contractors, and with such other consultants as Architect determines necessary, to the extent reasonably necessary for the design and construction of the Project and performance of Architect’s duties under this Agreement (including, but not limited to, Architect’s express duties of coordination with Subconsultants or other District consultants). 1.1.3. Architect shall have adequate personnel, facilities, equipment and supplies to complete Architect’s Services. Architect shall provide all materials necessary to complete its services. 1.1.4. To the extent necessary to complete its design services for the Project, Architect shall review, update and verify all as-built information supplied by District concerning existing structures, facilities and utilities. 1.1.4.1 Such reviewing, verifying and updating shall be for the purpose of Architect’s Services only, and shall not require the preparation of updated as-builts. 1.1.4.2 Architect shall include the reasonably foreseeable costs of such reviewing, verifying and updating in its fee for Basic Services, however, if such reviewing, verifying and updating requires extra cost not reasonably foreseeable upon signing this Agreement, then District shall pay Architect such additional actual costs as Additional Services. 1.1.5. Architect shall make any required corrections or revisions to reports, drawings or specifications which are a result of any errors or omissions by Architect, at no additional cost to District. Architect shall make or cause to be made any and all corrections to said documents necessary to comply with the requirements of the California Code of Regulations applicable to schools. 1.1.6. Architect shall prepare all energy saving calculations and deliverables necessary for District to submit to PG&E, Division of State Architect (“DSA”), the State Office of Energy Assessments, and any other authority with jurisdiction, for energy savings rebates and unconventional energy rebates and any additional information required. Architect shall then monitor construction for compliance with such rebate requirements and report to the District any problems encountered or anticipated.
