Common use of Section 9.8 Clause in Contracts

Section 9.8. 22 Employees who change job classifications within the bargaining unit shall retain their hire dates in the 23 previous classification for a period of one (1) year, notwithstanding that they have acquired a new hire 24 date and a new classification.

Section 9.8. 22 30 Employees who change job classifications within the bargaining unit shall retain their hire dates date in the 23 31 previous classification for a period of one five (15) yearyears, notwithstanding that they have acquired a new hire 24 32 date in a different classification, either hire date shall be lost as stated in Section 9.4, and the former hire 33 date may not be utilized unless the employee has been subject to a new reduction in force in his/her current 34 classification.
