SELECTION OF FIELD TRIPS Clause Samples

The 'Selection of Field Trips' clause defines the process and criteria for choosing educational excursions or outings for participants. Typically, this clause outlines who has the authority to select field trip destinations, the factors considered in making these choices—such as educational value, safety, and relevance to the curriculum—and any necessary approvals or notifications required. By establishing clear guidelines for field trip selection, this clause ensures that trips are appropriate, beneficial, and align with organizational or educational objectives, thereby minimizing confusion and potential disputes over trip choices.
SELECTION OF FIELD TRIPS. The regular field trip list will be posted during the first week of school and will cover field trips beginning the second week of school. Substitute bus drivers may not bid on field trips but can be assigned to them if no driver on the list takes the assignment. Field trips will be selected and filled in the following order: A. Bus drivers on the field trip list shall select a trip between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. B. If there are still field trips remaining after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, trips will be open to any bus driver. Remaining trips will be awarded by a rolling seniority list to those drivers that are interested in fulfilling any open trip(s). After all available bus drivers have had the ability to select a trip(s), the remaining trips will be available for substitutes as directed by the Transportation Department. C. If a bus driver on the field trip list does not select during his/her time frame, the District will bypass that driver and continue the rotation as described above. ▇. ▇▇▇▇ Ottawa bus drivers shall have the right of first refusal for West Ottawa field trips requiring a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) involving vehicles owned by the District.

SELECTION OF FIELD TRIPS. Drivers shall select their trips by seniority from each individual trip rotation list. One for weekday field trips and one for weekend/holiday field trips. Once a driver has signed his/her trip, they shall remove their name from the rotation list. If a driver elects not to take a trip, he/she shall write “pass” next to their name, date it and remove their name from the rotation list. A driver on sick leave, vacation, comp-time or any other absence, shall not forfeit his/her place on the rotation list. Upon return from said absence, if he/she has been passed over, he/she shall choose a trip as soon as they return. A more senior driver shall not delay selection of trips due to an absence or vacation.
