Common use of Service Learning Clause in Contracts

Service Learning. One (1) unit Calculated Faculty Hour A (CAH) Load credit is given for a weekly one (1) hour lecture in which the class discusses issues in the community, receives training, and participates in reflection activities on their volunteer experience. In addition, 0.125 Faculty Calculated A Hour (CAH) Credit is given for each student enrolled at census participating in the fieldwork “community service” segment of the course. NOTE: Service Learning courses, which contain a lecture component, are not repeatable as specified in Title 5 § 55256.5.
