SHELF LIFE ITEMS. (a) The Seller shall ensure that when Goods provided under this Contract have a shelf life, that at the time of receipt at buyer’s premises, the Goods are provided to the Buyer with a minimum shelf life remaining of: i. Minimum of 25% for Production Orders (indicated in Purchase Order header – ‘ship to’ - location code embedded in the ship to address - L01); and, ii. Greater than 90% for spare part orders (indicated in Purchase Order header – ‘Ship To:’ - all other ship to organization codes, e.g. L02, AB3). (b) The Seller shall ensure that shelf life items are specifically marked for identification and control. Shelf life marking shall be shown on the Packing Slip, intermediate and unit packaging, and individual items. Items that cannot be physically marked or tagged due to a lack of marking space or because of a deleterious effect need not be individually marked. Two labels are required per item, one as per Drawing requirement and one to meet shelf life requirements i. Type I shelf life item marking shall include, one as appropriate, the date manufactured, date cured (for elastomeric and rubber products only), or date assembled; and the expiration date. ii. Type II shelf life item marking shall include, one as appropriate, the date manufactured, date cured (for elastomeric and rubber products only), or date assembled, and the inspect/test date.

SHELF LIFE ITEMS. The Supplier shall provide certifications for age sensitive materials, i.e. epoxies, paints, adhesives, lubricants, etc., which reflect date of manufacture, date of test, shelf life, and expiration date as it applies to each lot/batch. Container label(s) must also reflect applicable lot/batch number(s), storage temperature and expiration date. MSDS/SDS must be included in the shipping package with the product. Do not ship materials having less than 80% shelf life remaining without the written approval from CUA Procurement.

SHELF LIFE ITEMS. Goods with a Shelf Life (“Shelf Life Items”) delivered under this Contract shall, at the time of receipt at Buyer’s premises, have a Shelf Life remaining of greater than 90% for spare parts (L02) and 25% for production parts (L01). Shelf Life Items shall be specifically marked for identification and control. The Shelf Life marking shall be shown on the Packing Slip, intermediate and unit packaging, and individual Shelf Life Items. Shelf Life Items that cannot be physically marked or tagged due to a lack of marking space or risk of damaging the Shelf Life Item need not be individually marked. Two labels are required per item, one as per Drawing requirement and one to meet shelf life requirements: i) Type I Shelf Life Item marking shall include, either the date manufactured or date cured (for elastomeric and rubber products only) or date assembled; and the expiration date; ii) Type II Shelf Life Item marking shall include, either the date manufactured or date cured (for elastomeric and rubber products only) or date assembled, and the inspect/test date; and/or iii) Markings for cure-dated items shall be expressed by the calendar quarter followed by the last two digits of the calendar year. All other dates should be expressed by the numeric month followed by the last two digits for the calendar year. Shelf life periods end on the last day of the cited month or quarter.

SHELF LIFE ITEMS. Unless otherwise stated on the face of a purchase order or in the associated Quality Clauses, age controlled material must have a minimum 12 months of usable shelf life remaining at time of receipt. Items having an initial shelf life of 12 months or less must have at least 75% of its useful life remaining at the time of receipt. Each shipment is to be identified with the date of manufacture or other date on which the shelf life period begins (month and year). At a minimum, this information must appear on the certificate of conformance.
