Common use of Shift Breaks Clause in Contracts

Shift Breaks. An employee who works a shift which is greater than five hours in duration shall be entitled to a paid shift break of twenty (20) minutes in duration. Unless alternative arrangements are agreed to by the Parties, shift breaks shall be rostered to commence after at least three (3) and before more than five (5) hours of duty.
