Common use of Shift Overlap Clause in Contracts

Shift Overlap. To protect the continuity of operations an employee will remain on his or her job until relieved for a period of up to fifteen (15) minutes maximum. Normal overtime rates will prevail during this additional period. Employees working shift overlap will be paid 15 minutes for any time worked while waiting to be relieved. The late-arriving employee’s wages will be deducted accordingly.
