Common use of Shift Sign-up Clause in Contracts

Shift Sign-up. The Company will post notices of open shifts available by classification, date and shift where such additional hours are known more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of the shift. Qualified employees in the classification may sign-up for such hours. The hours will be awarded as equitably as practicable amongst those employees who would not be entitled to overtime. For hours known less than 24 hours prior to the start of the shift the article 7.04 will apply.
