Common use of Short Changeover Clause in Contracts

Short Changeover. ‌ (a) If shifts are scheduled so that there are not 24 hours between the start of a team member's shift and the start of their next shift, overtime rates apply to hours worked on the succeeding shift which fall within the 24 hour period. (b) Where a team member exercises seniority rights to work shifts, one of which falls within the 24 hour period from start of the previous shift, the team member shall not be entitled to claim the premium rate referred to in paragraph (a).
