Short Shifts Clause Samples

The "Short Shifts" clause defines the minimum duration for work shifts and addresses how shifts shorter than this minimum are handled. Typically, it specifies that if an employee is scheduled for or works a shift shorter than the agreed minimum hours, they are still entitled to be paid for the minimum duration. For example, if the minimum shift is set at four hours but an employee is sent home after two, they would still receive four hours of pay. This clause ensures fair compensation for employees and discourages employers from scheduling unreasonably short shifts, thereby providing predictability and financial stability for workers.
