Common use of Short Term Shift Work Clause in Contracts

Short Term Shift Work. In circumstances where ordinary hours of work are worked outside of the ordinary hours to meet the requirements of a Project, for periods of less than 4 shifts the rate of time and half shall apply, provided that the following conditions apply: • Employees are given 24 hours notice of work requirements; • There is a ten-hour break after the completion of rostered work until the commencement of ordinary time otherwise double time shall apply until a ten hour break is taken
