Sick Leave Purpose Clause Samples

The Sick Leave Purpose clause defines the specific reasons for which employees are permitted to take sick leave. Typically, this clause outlines that sick leave may be used when an employee is unable to work due to illness, injury, or medical appointments, and may also extend to caring for immediate family members who are ill. By clearly stating the acceptable uses of sick leave, this clause ensures both employees and employers understand the boundaries and legitimate purposes for absence, thereby reducing misunderstandings and supporting fair application of leave policies.
